You know your apartment is small when:
*Your kitchen table is in the living room, right next to the tv. On the plus side, we can watch tv while we're eating!
*The kitchen is barely big enough for two people to stand back to back and having a toddler underfoot makes the kitchen seem unbearably small!
*Your bedroom doubles as a study room and you have to suck in your tummy to pass the card table that serves as a desk.
*You have to put your computer in the living room/kitchen area (although I don't think this is a bad idea anyway since it puts the computer in a well trafficed area, reducing the temptation to view any bad sites)
*The linen closet doubles as a pantry.
*You can vacuum your entire apartment without unplugging the vacuum cord once!
But I guess this won't last forever, so we'll just enjoy some very close family togetherness for a while :)

oh my gosh- you just described my apartment to a T! You would think for what we have to pay we could actually have some space!?! I love reading your post! I get kinda lonesome here. Miss you guys- especially that cute Kassidy! Can't wait to see you at Christmas.
hahaha Oh man, I remember the linen closet/pantry. That is exactly what we did. You should move up here to Dixon. We have a pantry AND 2 linen closets!!! But I will say that there still isn't enough room. Even with 3 bedrooms I am getting really tired of apartment living. I am sooo ready for some space to send the kids.
Hey PS: We actually put our TV on the other wall, opposite where you have yours. We ran a white cable along the wall to make it work and you couldn't see it. Then we put our big couch where your tv is and our little couch opposite the fire place. This created two different rooms. So it actually felt like we had a "dining" area. I don't know if that would work with your furniture but you could try. Plus then you are facing the fireplace instead of having your back to it. I can't remember what is in your living room but it might work.
Thats the positive attitude I like. But hey atleast you have your own place :)
I can relate to a few of those! Except the card table in our bedroom is my "craft table" because I got kicked out of the living room that Scott uses as his study room. Isn't it fun!!
Well hey, at least you've got your own place, there are plenty of people out there with the in-laws! And those are the funnest times - truly, I miss being in an apartment!
What a clever and SO TRUE post! I just had to laugh through all of it because I can totally relate! I actually love that I only have to plug the vacuum in once and I vacuum the whole house! Got to love it!
