In Memory of a Great Bishop, Man, & Husband
(Click on the Picture to enlarge it)
A year ago a great person returned home to our Heavenly Father to continue his work beyond the veil. At this time last year as President Wilson stood at the pulpit made the announcement of the death of Bishop Calvin T. Hair. As hard as it was and has been to realize that this great man has continued his work else where, I feel it a great BLESSING as Robyn and I have been able to grow closer to Sister Hair. Having been blessed with the opportunity of serving with Bishop Hair, I will never forget the skills he taught me. He loved the 2nd ward, his calling, and most importantly his wife. I continue to reflect on the great person he was as each week he would leave his seat on the stand to go to the pews to greet Sister Hair. He will truly be missed and I looked forward to that great day when we are all reunited again. We love you Bishop Hair and thank you for your example. Thank you for all you taught me. What a great BLESSING you have been in my life.

Happy Birthday Cheeks!
Two wonderful years ago today our most precious possession was brought into this world. At 9:25 a.m. Kevin and I became parents and we have had the best two years with our little Kassidy. Kassidy is the smartest little girl I know. She was talking full sentences at about 14 months and is continually surprising us with how much she knows. Kassidy's beautiful blue eyes and happy attitude attract people to her. We love her with all our heart and are proud to be her parents. Since Kevin had to work all day today, we celebrated Kassidy's birthday yesterday with Kevin's family. While the rest of the adults made a trip to the temple, Kass and I got to spend a little quality time at the splash pad in St George swimming away. We ate lunch at Pirate Island Pizza (so fun if you haven't been!) and then came back home for presents and cake. Kassidy was sure one spoiled little girl. Everything she got had to do with princesses and Kevin and I made her a princess barbie cake (it was a little iffy, but it was our first attempt). Here are a few pictures of the party and some reminiscent pictures of how our little girl has grown.
Kurt and Whitney got Kassidy a princess Ariel doll and book set in Disneyworld while they were there. She loved it!!

Blissful Weekend
So I have the sweetest husband who wanted to take me out for a weekend for our anniversary. Since we have a little munchkin, going far was out of the question. So Kevin's sweet brother and sister-in-law offered to have Kassidy spend the night with them in St George and we spent a night alone in a hotel and had fun together. We went out to eat, did some shopping (mostly for Kassidy's upcoming birthday), saw a movie and did sealings at the temple. It was a very nice weekend alone with my best friend and I feel so blessed to have such amazing family who are willing to make it possible. I will miss that when we move! Of course we'll have my uncle and aunt, but they might stop answering their phone everytime we call after they realize we need a sitter occasionally! Anyway, our anniversary celebration was very refreshing and much needed. I'm so lucky to have a husband who I fall more in love with each year. He's a man of integrity who I look up to and know he is doing and will do many great things in his life.

Happy Anniversary
Bryce Canyon
Since last weekend we saw everyone of the Marchant clan except Kim's family, we jumped at the opportunity to go to Beaver again and hang out with the Isaacson clan. Kim is Kevin's oldest sister and she has 6 adorable kids. Saturday we met them up Beaver canyon for a little fishing, horse riding, canoeing, and barbecuing. Unfortunately, Melanie came down with some horrible pains and was rushed back down the mountain to the hospital. We were all pretty worried since she's about 6 months pregnant. Everything turned out alright in the end though...she had a kidney infection and spent 2 nights in the hospital. Sunday we made our way to Bryce Canyon for a little hiking and enjoyment of our beautiful earth. We had a wonderful time hiking and the kids were all so tough. The weather was perfect and Kassidy had a great time thanks to a loaner hiking backpack (thanks Stacy!). We love being outside and hiking was loads of fun. Here's some documentation that's funner to look at than my dumb writing.
